Quiet Contemporary
Blonde herringbone floors whisper of chic Parisian apartments. Iconic modern furniture and dynamic artwork establish an edgy mood, balanced by tidy cabinetry finished in quiet shades of cream and warmly lit by handsome accent lights. The carefully assembled tableaux in this serene pied-à-terre, which Romina crafted for empty-nester clients on the south shore of Montreal, are effortlessly inviting and designed to age gracefully.
In the living room, bold black elements—from the handsome Herman Miller chair and ottoman to the playful art and accents—build drama. Spacious leather stools, a mix of metals, and favourite artworks add life to the small-but-mighty kitchen. In the dining area, a marble Saarinen table and demure pendant light feel like sculpture, while ink drawings of traditional Québécois houses and churches, drawn by the client’s father, add personal meaning.
Cool greens define the private rooms, with inky black storage pieces balancing the ethereal white upholstered bed in the bedroom, and a very special custom vanity enlivens the elegant bathroom.
